Dr. Robert Vezzetti is from Brownsville, TX and completed his medical education at the University of Texas Health Science Center - San Antonio. He completed a pediatrics residency at Children's Hospital of Austin in Austin, TX, and a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at INOVA Fairfax Hospital for Children in Falls Church, VA.  

He is an attending physician in the pediatric emergency department at Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, TX, and currently serves as an Associate Program Director for the Pediatric Residency Program. He is also the Simulation Director for the Pediatric Residency and serves as the Director of Pediatric Outreach for Dell Children's Medical Center and USACS. His interests include pediatric simulation, pediatric trauma and critical care, radiology in the pediatric emergency department, and medical education.  He has edited and authored a textbook on pediatric radiology in the emergency department and urgent care settings.

He earned a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University and his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center. He completed a general pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Austin, where he was chief resident; and a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship through INOVA Fairfax Hospital/INOVA Fairfax Hospital for Children Falls Church, VA.
