Amer Aldeen, MD, FACEP
Dr. Amer Aldeen previously served as ED chair and medical director from 2014 to 2016 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL. In addition to being a Recruiter Presenter, Dr. Aldeen is Vice Chair of the National Clinical Governance Board of USACS and executive medical director of the Center for Emergency Medical Education.
Dr. Aldeen joins USACS from Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he had been associate medical director of emergency medicine.
Dr. Aldeen received his undergraduate training at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, where he received a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies with a focus on religious studies. He received his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, VA, and completed his emergency medicine residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Aldeen led the Geriatric Emergency Department Innovations team at Northwestern, where he developed personnel and protocols to improve the care of older adults in the ED. He also serves as founder and director of the Chicago Cardiac Arrest Resuscitation Education Service, which trains the Chicago Police Department in lifesaving skills. Dr. Aldeen is board certified in emergency medicine.
