Dr. Brad Watling currently serves as one of three vice presidents of the US Acute Care Solutions Southeast region. He previously served as Medical Director of the Emergency Department at Carolinas Medical Center-Mercy. Dr. Watling also served as President of the Medical Staff at Carolinas Medical Center-Mercy for the 2010-2011 terms.

Dr. Watling received a Bachelor of Science in Physiology from Lyman Briggs School/Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. He received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Watling completed his emergency medicine residency at Grace/Sinai Hospital/Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Watling is board certified in emergency medicine, and is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.

He enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children on Lake Norman waterskiing and wake surfing.
