Brett Gamma, MD, is Chairman of Emergency Medicine at Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, MD. Dr. Gamma earned his medical degree at The George Washington University Medical School in Washington, DC, and completed his emergency medicine residency and an internal medicine internship at the Georgetown University/George Washington University Hospitals. He completed a mini fellowship in Orthopedics/Sports Medicine at The George Washington University. Dr. Gamma is also certified in Hyperbaric Medicine. He is a fellow with the American College of Emergency Medicine.

He was active with the Maryland Search and Rescue team as a team physician. 

Outside of the ED, Dr. Gamma enjoys spending time with his wife, children and friends; hiking; biking; golfing and travel.
