Dr. Bruce Jones serves as Director of the Emergency Department at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, OH. Dr. Jones completed his emergency medicine internship and residency at OU-HCOM/Doctors Hospital. He completed his undergraduate education at Lafayette College in Easton, PA, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Jones received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA.

Dr. Jones worked for one year at Mount Carmel Hospital Emergency Department before returning to Doctors Hospital in 1999 to resume the positions of full-time attending staff physician and Associate Clinical Professor at OUCOM. In 2003, Dr. Jones was chosen as the recipient of the Outstanding Emergency Medicine Faculty Award. He completed the Scholars Program in 2001, which helped prepare him to become the ED Medical Director in 2005.

Currently, Dr. Jones chairs the Chest Pain Center Committee, the Acute MI Committee, Clinical Quality Committee, Continuous Process Improvement Team, Emergency Medicine Education Committee and the Acute Stroke Committee.

Dr. Jones is board certified by AOBEM and is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, a member of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians and a Fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians.
