Celia Aguilar, MD, FACEP, is a USACS Traveling Physician (Firefighter). Previously, she was the ED medical director at CarolinaEast Medical Center. In 2015, Dr. Aguilar began serving as the assistant director of the Firefighters. She completed the Scholars Program in 2014.

Dr. Aguilar earned her medical degree at the University of Tennessee Medical School, Memphis. She completed a residency in pathology prior to completing her emergency medicine residency at Howard University in Washington, DC. Prior to medical school, Dr. Aguilar was a registered nurse who specialized in high-risk obstetrics.

Outside of the ED, Dr. Aguilar enjoys gardening, cooking, traveling, decorating, event planning, fishing, hosting couple/marriage retreats and just about anything that encourages personal growth and development. Dr. Aguilar says she needs another lifetime to do everything she wants to do!
