Dr. Christopher Dooley is the Medical Director at Jefferson Hospital. He is a board-certified physician in Emergency Medicine who began his career at Jefferson Hospital in 1985 as an ED attending physician. In his tenure, he was the EMS Medical Director from 1992 to 2000. During this time period, he also served on the Allegheny County EMS Board of Directors. In 2000, he began his position as Medical Director of the Department of Emergency Medicine. He has served the hospital in multiple committees and positions over the years. These positions included Medical Staff Leadership beginning 2007 and culminating with his role of Medical Staff President in 2011 and 2012. He also served as a member of the hospital board from 2007-2012.

Dr. Dooley has been a member and Fellow of American College of Emergency Physicians since 1987. Dr. Dooley graduated cum laude from Assumption College, Worcester, MA, and attended medical school at Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon in Monterrey, Mexico. He completed an internship in general surgery at South Baltimore General Hospital and a residency in emergency medicine at Worcester City Hospital.

For relaxation, he enjoys traveling and fishing. He is an avid golfer who has added four hole-in-ones and a double eagle to his list of accomplishments.
