James Augustine, MD, FACEP, was presented the 2016 National Excellence in EMS Award during a recent meeting of the EMS State of the Sciences Conference in Dallas, TX.

Referred to as "A Gathering of Eagles," the annual conference highlights cutting edge information and advances in EMS research, management issues, and patient care.
Dr. Augustine is a long-time leader in EMS, and has served as a firefighter for 34 years. He is the Director of Clinical Operations for USACS. He is also active in national activities in EMS through the American College of Emergency Physicians.
Dr. Augustine currently serves as a Medical Director for Fire EMS agencies in Atlanta, GA, Naples, FL, and Dayton, OH.
