  • Backup for many surgical and medical specialty services
  • Located in the Northeast Quadrant of San Francisco in Chinatown; large Chinese speaking population serviced, ER nurses are tri-lingual
  • Transfer required for Neurosurgery, Cardiovascular and Cardiothoracic Surgery, Invasive Cardiology, Major Trauma, Obstetric, Pediatric, and Psychiatric admissions
  • New Emergency Department as of 2016

Emergency Department

  • Trauma Level 4
  • 20% admission rate
  • 6 ED beds, with 1 procedure room
  • 4 Observation beds
  • Central nursing station
  • Hospitalist Service 24/7/365
  • MRI available on-site
  • Cerner EMR beginning 1/2018
