Gregory White, MD
Dr. Gregory White, MD, FACEP, is the Medical Director of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Florida Hospital Heartland, campuses of Sebring, Lake Placid, and Wauchula.
He received his Honors Bachelor of Physical Education, BA in Psychology as well as his Medical Degree, from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He completed 2 years of an Orthopedic Residency including extensive rotations in Neurosurgery and Trauma Surgery from the University of Western Ontario. Formerly he was the EMS Medical Director for 810 providers in Polk County Florida for 30 years. He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
Dr. White has been an Emergency Physician for over 40 years. In that time, he has won many awards. Most prominently, in 2001 he was named EMS Medical Director of the Year in the State of Florida. At Heartland, he has Chaired and been involved in several committees. He is very active in the community and just retired as a very successful Head Coach of Kathleen Girls High School Basketball program in Lakeland Florida.
