Jeremy Tucker, DO
National Director of Patient Safety
Dr. Tucker is National Medical Director for Patient Safety for USACS and also serves as System Medical Director for Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London, CT. He is also the Executive Director for the USACS Patient Safety Organization.
Dr. Tucker is a graduate of Des Moines University and completed a combined emergency medicine/internal medicine residency program at Midwestern University and is certified in both specialty areas. In addition, he is a Certified Professional in Patient Safety.
He currently serves as a member of the Government Affairs Committee and Chair of the Practice Management Committee for ACOEP. He is also a member of the EM Practice Committee for ACEP.
He has numerous publications on patient safety and practice management and has lectured widely on these topics. He has implemented patient safety processes within MEP and Medstar St. Mary’s Hospital where he serves at Physician Champion for Patient Safety.
He views technology as an important tool for patient safety and he has expertise on leveraging technology to solve healthcare problems and is currently involved with multiple health tech start-ups.
