Jerry Taylor, MD, is the ED Medical Director at Allegheny Valley Hospital (AVH). He most recently served as the EMS Director from 2001 until present. Dr. Taylor has also served as President of the medical staff at AVH and on the Board of Directors at AVH.

Dr. Taylor is an emergency medicine residency trained, board-certified physician with more than 15 years experience in Emergency Medicine. He earned his medical degree from the Pennsylvania State College of Medicine and completed his emergency medicine residency training at the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to going to medical school, he was a paramedic for eight years.

Dr. Taylor is a fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians and is a member of the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He is an active member of the medical staff and serves on several hospital committees.

Outside of the ED, Dr. Taylor enjoys spending time with family, biking, hiking, skiing, and amusement parks/outdoor activities.
