Joseph J. Kuchinski, DO, FACOEP, was the medical director at Culinary Health Center Urgent Care in Las Vegas, NV. A founder and past-president of the Foundation for Osteopathic Emergency Medicine (FOEM), and past president of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians (ACOEP), Dr. Kuchinski was on the board of the Osteopathic Political Action Committee and a member of the AOA Bureau on Federal Health Programs. He received the AOA’s Distinguished Service Award in 2016, the AOE’s highest honor. Active in postgraduate medical education, he helped found three emergency medicine programs and served as director of Osteopathic Medical Education at two institutions.

Dr. Kuchinski earned his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his internship (chief intern) and an emergency medicine residency at Hospital of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his final year of residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center at the Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was chief resident.

Our friend Joe passed away in May 2021 and will be remembered fondly for his big smile, his tireless devotion to his patients and colleagues, and his love for his family.
