Linda Lawrence, MD, CPE, FACEP
Linda Lawrence currently serves as the president of USACS Southeast & West. She has over 20 years of experience in clinical operation, leadership development, strategic planning, and organizational transformation in the healthcare system, national professional society, and academics.
Dr. Lawrence earned her Doctor of Medicine at Temple University School of medicine. She completed her Emergency Medicine Residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania, and afterward, her fellowship at Drexel University. Dr. Lawrence is board certified in emergency medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, and a certified physician executive from American Association Physician Leadership.
Dr. Lawrence most recently served with the Air Force Medical Service, where she led the strategic transformation to a continuous learning and improving organization promoting safety and high reliability. In that role she oversaw the strategy, policy, change management, communication and resourcing for 44,000 employees at 75 hospitals and clinics that treat 2.6 million patients. Before that, she served as the CEO of the 31st Medical Group, stationed at Aviano Air Base in Italy. She also served as chief of the emergency department at Wilford Hall Medical Center in Texas, and as chief medical officer for the hospital on Travis Air Force Base in California. Finally, she served seven years on the board of the American College of Emergency Physicians, having been elected to every executive office.
