Dr. Michael Levinson has served as the Medical Director for West Emergency Department since October 2013. During this past year, Dr. Levinson has launched the PhysicianFirst program, ED CPOE and the Soarian ED tracker-board integration.

Dr. Levinson earned his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine of New York University in Manhattan, NY.  He completed his emergency medicine residency in 2004 at George Washington University in Washington, DC.  At the University of Pennsylvania, he completed a one year fellowship in Emergency Ultrasound.

Dr. Levinson is board certified in emergency medicine.  He is a fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians. He is also a graduate of USACS' Scholars Program.

Growing up in a suburb in Manhattan, Dr. Levinson admits that living in the Midwest never hit his radar. However after living in the beautiful eastern suburbs of Cleveland for the past seven years, he says he is truly happy to be living in this region, enjoying outdoor activities, great housing and a welcoming community.
