Robbin Shannon Dick, MD, is Chief of Observation Services. Dr. Dick earned his medical degree at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, PA, and completed an Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Rochester Primary Care Program. Dr. Dick started the first recognized observation unit in the state of New York in 1996. He has consulted for numerous hospitals on observation unit design and structure.

Dr. Dick is a Fellow and member of the American College of Physicians.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Dick enjoys playing the piano, collecting stamps and traveling with his wife. Dr. Dick has also written a book on Hospital Capacity Management, which is currently under review by publishers.
