Sara Beth Scott MD, is an Emergency Physician at Seton Medical Center Austin, in Austin, TX. She has been with USACS’ (Legacy ESP) Since 2011. Dr. Scott is currently the Associate Student Clerkship Director at the University of Texas at Austin, Dell Medical School, in Austin, TX. She is also the Clinical Assistant Professor, for the Department of Surgery and Perioperative Care.
Dr. Scott received her Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Neuroscience from Lafayette College in Easton, PA, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, in Pittsburgh, PA. She then went on to the University of Maryland Medical Center, in Baltimore, MD, to complete both her Emergency Medicine Residency Training Program (where she was Chief Resident) and Emergency Medicine Academic Fellowship. She also completed her Teaching Fellowship through the American College of Emergency Physicians, in Dallas, TX.
Dr. Scott has several memberships including; The American College of Emergency Physicians, Society for Simulation in Healthcare, Society for Academic Emergency Medicine, and Emergency Medicine Residents Association. Dr. Scott is board-certified in Emergency Medicine. Her committee affiliations currently include; Healthcare Delivery Committee and Education Committee for the Department of Surgery and Perioperative at UT at Austin, Dell Medical School, and ED Stakeholder’s Committee and Peer Review Committee at Seton Medical Center.
