Dr. Sean Fleming serves as the emergency department medical director at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Flower Mound. He has held the role in this award-winning Dallas-Fort Worth-area hospital since 2012.
A proven and experienced leader, Dr. Fleming is currently vice president of the medical staff as well as chair of the hospital’s Quality, Environment of Care, and Credentials Committees. He is also a member of the Peer Review and Utilization Review Committees, the Texas Health Resources Physician Advisory Council, and the Texas Health Resources ED Cabinet.
Dr. Fleming lives in neighboring Lewisville and previously served as Emergency Department Medical Director at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in nearby Denton. His experience with the Texas Health system since 2004 includes serving as an emergency medicine physician in Dallas, Plano, Allen and Winnsboro, TX. In addition to his hospital responsibilities, Fleming serves as Emergency Medical Services Medical Director for Sacred Cross EMS and as Medical Director for the Town of Flower Mound Fire Department.
Board-certified in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Fleming received his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and was Chief Resident while in the UT Southwestern Emergency Medicine Residency program in Dallas.
When not practicing medicine or spending time with his wife and four daughters, Dr. Fleming enjoys playing as an ice hockey goalie.
