He earned a bachelor’s degree from University of Colorado, Boulder and a medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, where he was chief resident and he graduated with honors. He also completed his fellowship in medical toxicology from Einstein Medical Center, where he was an attending.
