Emergency Care
Our Emergency Department (ED) is open 24/7 and has 17 beds. Each year, we care for 37,000 patients and all our Clinicians are board-certified in Emergency Medicine. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, our ED is designed to provide the highest level of care to every patient we serve.
Local Care Support Services
Several support services are provided at Bon Secours Richmond Community Hospital for patients and their families. Some of these services include Spiritual Care Services, Advanced Care Planning, Interpreter and Translation Services, and Special Needs Services.
After Discharge
Being discharged can feel overwhelming after experiencing a medical emergency. Here are a few steps that will help you after your visit:
1. Follow the discharge instructions that were provided to you by your Physician, PA, and/or NP
2. Visit your Primary Care team or Specialty Care team to monitor your symptoms and complete any further testing required
3. Review your test results to ensure you understand what you underwent while under medical care
4. Call and schedule any follow up appointments recommended by your care team at the hospital
