YOUR CARE TEAM
Michael W. Singleton, MD
Medical Director
Bon Secours is staffed by 62 USACS clinicians and specialists to ensure you are provided with the best care for your needs.

Emergency Care
Our emergency department (ED) is open 24/7 and has 41 beds. Each year, we care for 52,000 patients and all our clinicians are board-certified in emergency medicine. Our ED has state-of-the-art technology in order to best serve the patients who enter our care.

INPATIENT STAY
If the emergency medicine care team has made the decision to admit you to the hospital, your care will be transitioned over to our inpatient medicine team. These physicians are known as hospitalists. Our ED and inpatient medicine teams work side-by-side to ensure your care is continued seamlessly. The inpatient team will carefully monitor your progress, implementing evidence-based practices and following established recovery plans.

AFTER DISCHARGE
Being discharged can feel overwhelming after being under 24/7 care of the emergency and inpatient medicine teams. Here are a few steps that will help you make the transition out of the hospital:
1. Follow the discharge instructions that were provided to you by your hospitalist, PA, and/or NP
2. Visit your primary care team or specialty care team to monitor your symptoms and complete any further testing required
3. Review your test results to ensure you understand what you underwent while under medical care
4. Call and schedule any follow up appointments recommended by your care team at the hospital
Our teams worked diligently to ensure you received high-quality care during your stay and you may receive a survey asking for you to submit a review. We value your insights and appreciate the time you take to complete this survey. We strive to continually improve to better serve our patients.
