Dr. John O’Neill is a clinical instructor and assistant residency program director of emergency medicine for Alleghany General Hospital, where he works as a hospitalist and emergency physician.
He manages the post cardiac arrest/therapeutic hypothermia team, is the emergency medicine board review coordinator, is the trauma liaison and is on the resuscitation/code committee. He has lectured for local, state, and national conferences and published A Systematic Overview of Hypertension in the Emergency Department, A Systematic Overview of Non ST Elevation Acute Coronary Syndrome in the Emergency Department and a chapter in Geriatric Trauma entitled “Challenging and Emerging Conditions in Emergency Medicine, edited by Arvind Venkat.
Dr. O’Neill earned a bachelor’s degree from State University of New York at Stony Brook and a medical degree from State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine. He completed a combined emergency medicine and internal medicine residency at Kings County Hospital.
