- Focus: To develop the next generation of clinical educators in emergency medicine

- Focus: To develop the fellow as a successful academic emergency medicine physician. This goal will be met by mastering a variety of skills during the year of fellowship, including.

Allegheny Health Network Saint Vincent Hospital | Erie, PA
- Focus: A 2-year, mentored experience for early career clinical educators
- Fellowship Director: Charles Feronti, DO - [email protected]
- Highlights: Fellows will work with local faculty and national leaders of USACS to learn how to create and provide cutting-edge education within the field of emergency medicine.
- Outcomes: Mastery of the topics of educational design and delivery across a range of medical learners. Fellows will also obtain a Masters of Medical Education.
EMS
Dell Seton Medical Center at University of Texas | Austin, TX
- Focus: One-year, immersive experience in EMS medicine
- Fellowship Director: Mark Escott, MD - escottm@usacs.com
- Highlights: Formal didactics, administrative experiences, exposure to air/ground critical care transport, ground EMS, paramedic/physician response units, and multiple elective opportunities including tactical EMS and community paramedicine
- Outcomes: Upon successful completion, the EMS Fellow is expected to be eligible for board certification in emergency medicine

- Highlights: Involves clinical experiences, administrative experiences, hands-on practice, and structured learning in preparation for the clinical practice of EMS medicine and board certification. Fellows will experience rural, suburban and urban EMS systems as well as flight, ground, tactical, mass gathering, and EMS education aspects of medical direction

Health Equity
US Acute Care Solutions | Virtual (Geographically flexible)
- Focus: One-year, mentored experience for aspirational leaders interested in a career in health equity in acute care (including EM, HM, and ICU). These fellows will facilitate changes to improve their communities as well as care across the acute care continuum.

- Highlights: Designed to develop and train EM, HM, or ICU physicians to become subject matter experts in health equity. This fellowship is critical to our work to create leaders who can drive meaningful policy and structural changes in acute care.

Innovation

- Focus: One-year, mentored experience for aspirational leaders interested in making a career in innovation in acute and emergency care
- Fellowship Director: Jesse Pines, MD, MBA, MSCE - [email protected]
- Highlights: Under the direction of USACS National Director of Clinical Innovation Dr. Jesse Pines, the Fellowship can be accomplished from any USACS clinical site. Fellows have a national role in USACS and are mentored by the Chief Medical Officer team, participate in innovation projects, writing and educational opportunities, and have opportunities to develop and implement new care models such as telehealth, technology, novel payment approaches – as well as address timely clinical problems, such as the opioid crisis.

Pediatric Emergency Medicine
Dell Children's Medical Center at University of Texas | Austin, TX
- Focus: Pediatric Emergency Medicine Leadership Development

- Highlights: Intensive mentorship and scholarly activity at one of the largest Peds EM fellowship programs in the country and working at a busy level one pediatric trauma center

Rural Emergency Medicine

Cullman Regional Medical Center | Cullman, AL
- Focus: The North Alabama Emergency Medicine Fellowship provides a unique opportunity for primary care physicians to become board certified in emergency medicine. This program is recognized by the American Academy of Emergency Physicians.
- Fellowship Director: Mark Christensen, MD - [email protected]
- Highlights: 12-14 shifts per month in the ED. Specialized topics include ENT skills course, ortho and splinting course, and dental emergency. Unique learning opportunities for ballistic injuries, MVA trauma, and snake bites.
- Outcome: Fellowship graduates will qualify for written and oral exams to receive board certification in emergency medicine (BCEM) by the American Board of Physician Specialists
Sports Medicine
Dell Children's Medical Center at University of Texas | Austin, TX
- Focus: Integrates the best parts of primary care, physical medicine and rehab with acute care medicine to train fellows in the non-surgical aspects of sports medicine

- Highlights: Austin is a vibrant community with an abundance of athletics. Our fellows have access to professional athletes in soccer, ice hockey, rugby, moto-GP, and a variety of auto racing teams. - Focus: To advance the field of primary care sports medicine through the training of highly motivated, qualified individuals and to provide excellence in the services provided through our practice. We strive to offer an exciting year of opportunities that spans the entire breadth of primary care sports medicine.
