Danielle Jackson, MD, FACEP
Dr. Danielle Jackson is the emergency department medical director at Seton Southwest Hospital in Austin, TX. Under her leadership, the ED has achieved some of the best patient satisfaction scores in the Seton network, as well as impressively low length-of-stay and left-without-being-seen metrics. In addition, she created a multidisciplinary, site-specific stakeholders committee to continue driving the department toward excellence and to focus on process improvement.
From 2012 to 2016, she worked primarily as an attending emergency physician at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center near Austin; there, she served on the Peer Review Committee and the Code Blue Committee. Before coming to Texas, she served as Associate Medical Director at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, MN.
Born in Nottingham, England, and raised in Norway, Dr. Jackson earned her bachelor’s degree from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN, and her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School, Twin Cities. She completed her emergency medicine residency training at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, followed by a teaching fellowship with the American College of Emergency Physicians. She was presented with the 2009 Star Award, recognizing an outstanding resident educator of medical students. She is fluent in Norwegian and enjoys international travel.
