Donna Balewick, MD, is the Acute Care Medical Director at Indiana Regional Medical Center in Indiana, PA. She previously served as the EM Medical Director. Her responsibilities include both emergency and hospital medicine services.

Dr. Balewick earned her medical degree and graduated with honors from Albany Medical College in Albany, NY. She completed her residency in family practice medicine at Riverside Methodist Hospitals in Columbus, OH. Dr. Balewick holds a Master's in Healthcare Ethics from Duquesne University.

In 2014, Dr. Balewick received the Rural Health Hero of the Year Award from the Pennsylvania Office of Rural Health. She was recognized for the countless hours she has devoted to providing top medical care for rural community residents.

In 2010, she was the recipient of the Dr. James A. Garrettson Physician Excellence Award. She was chosen based on her leadership, exemplary performance in patient care and clinical service excellence.

When not at work, Dr. Balewick enjoys playing clarinet in her community band, travel and gardening.
