Gregory Thacker, MD
Gregory Thacker, MD, is the medical director at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO. Previously, he was an assistant ultrasound director and physician with Front Range Emergency Specialists, a private group of emergency physicians, in which he held workshops to teach ED physicians the basics of bedside ultrasonography and remains a board member. He has volunteered as clinic faculty and preceptor for University of Colorado. He is a trauma liaison to the Penrose-St. Francis trauma committee.
Dr. Thacker earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the Carolinas Medical Center.
