Hospital

The Jewish Hospital – Mercy Health was founded in 1850 as the first Jewish hospital in the United States and now cares for people of all faiths in the Cincinnati suburb of Kenwood. It has a strong legacy of teaching physicians that dates back more than 100 years and continues today, with a reputation for excellence in training surgical, medical, pharmaceutical, and podiatry residents.

In addition to its outstanding teaching programs, The Jewish Hospital offers the community the only adult Blood and Marrow Transplant Center in the region, a premier Joint Replacement Center that performs nearly 1,000 procedures each year, a Mobile Mammography program, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, a Weight Management Center, and full-spectrum Cardiovascular and Emergency services. It also serves as a regional referral hub for advanced Neurosurgical services.

Quality of care remains a top priority, and in 2016, a new patient tower featuring all private rooms was constructed to better serve the community.
