Chizoba Ugwummadu, MD, MS-HQSM, FACP

Chizoba Ugwummadu (pronounced: Oo-gwoo-MAH-doo), MD, MS-HQSM, FACP, is the Regional Quality Director for Hospital Medicine at USACS. Dr. Ugwummadu was born and raised in Nigeria, where he earned his medical degree at University of Lagos. He proceeded to earn a master's degree in health promotion at Kings' College London before completing his residency training in internal medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. He has since obtained another master's degree in healthcare quality and safety management at Thomas Jefferson University, where he won a national award, was retained and currently serves as an adjunct teaching assistant professor. Previously, Dr. Ugwummadu was a former adjunct clinical professor of medicine at Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Ugwummadu is married with 3 children and enjoys swimming, soccer, and traveling.
