Jestin Carlson, MD, MS, MHA, CPE, is the Program Director for the AHN-Saint Vincent Emergency Medicine Residency. Prior to this, he served as the first national director of clinical education for USACS where he oversaw the education for nearly 5,000 clinicians across the country involving multiple specialties.
Dr. Carlson has a focus on education and resuscitation research with more than 190 manuscripts published in peer-reviewed journals. He has given over 100 national and international lectures and mentored over 50 trainees resulting in 14 presentation awards. He sits on the Scientific Advisory Committees of both the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation and American Red Cross.
Dr. Carlson earned his medical degree at State University of New York at Buffalo, completed his emergency medicine residency and a research fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh, and Master of Healthcare Administration at Gannon University.
