John Casey, DO, MA, FACEP, FACOEP, is the Program Director for the emergency medicine residency at OhioHealth Doctors Hospital in Columbus, OH. He also is active as an EMS Director and has been an attending physician there since 2012. He completed USACS’ Scholars Program, has been a mentor, and was the national director of Scholars. He is a co-host of EM Over Easy and a frequent national lecturer on topics ranging from clinical to innovations in healthcare and policy.

Dr. Casey is the Doctors Hospital past president of the medical staff, and his professional affiliations include the American College of Emergency Physicians, American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians, and the American Osteopathic Association. Some of his awards include USACS Maimonides Award for Teaching Excellence, Emergency Medicine Physicians Clinician of the Year, the ACEP National Emergency Medicine Faculty Teaching Award and recognition as a Champion of Change for healthcare by former President Barack Obama.
