John Casey, DO, MA, FACEP, FACOEP

John Casey DO, MA, FACEP, FACOEP is associate program director for the emergency medicine residency at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, OH. He also is active as an EMS director, and has been an attending physician there since 2012. He has completed USACS’ Scholars program, has been a mentor, and was the national director of scholars. He’s been with USACS for six years.
Dr. Casey currently holds several leadership positions. He is on US Acute Care Solutions National Clinical Governance Board, OhioHealth Board of Directors, OhioHealth Quality of Care committee, OhioHealth Finance committee, Doctors Hospital President of the Medical Staff, and is a member of the American Osteopathic Association Bureau of Federal Government Affairs and ACEP’s Federal Government Affairs committee.
Dr. Casey has several professional affiliations including; American College of Emergency Physicians, American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians, and the American Osteopathic Association. Some of his most recent awards include USACS Maimonides Award for Teaching Excellence, Emergency Medicine Physicians Clinician of the Year, and recognition as a Champion of Change for healthcare by President Barack Obama.
Dr. Casey earned a bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech, a master's from Radford University, and his medical degree from The Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his post-graduate internship and emergency medicine residency at Doctors Hospital.
