Dr. John Janikas is Regional Vice President for US Acute Care Solutions East Division. Prior to becoming vice president he was the Medical Director for Samaritan Hospital (Troy, NY) and Albany Memorial Hospital (Albany, NY) and was a faculty member and co-creator of the USACS Efficiency Academy.  

Dr. Janikas received his undergraduate training at Elmira College in Elmira, NY, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.  He received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA, and completed his emergency medicine residency at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY, where he was Chief Resident. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
