John Tully, MD, FACEP
Dr. John Tully has served as the emergency department medical director at St. Luke’s Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, TX, since 2007.
In 2015, Dr. Tully was elected Chief of Staff at St. Luke’s, where he has served as a member of the Physician Quality Committee, Medical Executive Committee, co-chair of the Physician Leadership Council, and chair of the Chest Pain Center Committee. Since 2013, he has served on the Medical Executive Board of San Antonio’s Baptist Health System. In 2014, he received the W. B. Russ, MD Award in recognition of being a St. Luke’s Baptist Outstanding Physician Leader.
Dr. Tully also holds the rank of clinical professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at San Antonio’s University Hospital and serves as Assistant Medical Director for San Antonio AirLife. Prior to practicing in Texas, Dr. Tully worked in as an emergency physician in Louisville, KY.
A native of Beaumont, TX, Dr. Tully studied at Lamar University and worked as an enforcement agent with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission before attending medical school. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed his emergency medicine residency at the University of Louisville.
