Edwin Emborgo

Edwin Emborgo, MD, was an Emergency Physician with USACS, caring for patients at our Shelby County Emergency Services and Diagnostic Imaging Center program in Center, TX. Dr. Emborgo was regarded by his colleagues as an outstanding, well-respected Physician who was deeply dedicated to his patients and always willing to support the team. Although known for being soft-spoken, he often enjoyed sharing stories about the farm he built, home to his famed fainting goats as well as alpacas, peacocks, goats, chickens, dogs, and cats. 

Dr. Emborgo was a selfless caregiver who always put others before himself. He was devoted to caring for his family, including his six children, the animals he raised on his farm, his patients, and his community. He had an excitement for life and radiated optimism, positively impacting the lives of all he met. 

Dr. Emborgo earned his medical degree from University of Santo Thomas and completed his general surgery residency at St. Luke’s Medical Center - Quezon City. He also completed a family medicine residency at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Medicine and spent the last 15+ years of his career practicing rural emergency medicine. 

Dr. Emborgo was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and exceptional Physician. He will be tremendously missed by all who knew him.
