Richard Sullivan, MD
Richard Sullivan, MD is the Medical Director at Jefferson Hospital. He is a board-certified physician in Emergency Medicine who began his career at Jefferson Hospital in 1994 as an ED attending physician. During his tenure, he has been involved administratively for many years and was most recently Assistant ED Director and EMS Medical Director since 2000.
Dr. Sullivan did his undergraduate work at Rockhurst College in Kansas City and earned his medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Allegheny General in 1994.
Originally from Chicago, Rich has made Pittsburgh home and currently resides in the Mt. Lebanon area with his wife Renee and son RJ. During his free time, he enjoys playing guitar, swimming, ice skating and listening to great music especially the Blues.
