Scott Freedman, MD
Dr. Scott Freedman is a Board Certified Pediatric Emergency Physician. He has served as the Medical Director of the Pediatric Emergency Department at Shady Grove Medical Center, Rockville Maryland since 2001. He is the immediate past Chairman of the USACS Pediatric Emergency Medicine Committee and is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Georgetown University School of Medicine.
He received his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Connecticut and his medical degree from University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at St Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia PA. He is a Fellow of both the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Freedman has been in practice for more than 25 years.
Outside of work, Dr. Freedman enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and 2 dogs as well as photography, travel, and an occasional round of golf.
