Pediatric Outreach Director
Dr. Sujit Iyer is the pediatric outreach director for Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas, where he also practices as an emergency physician and is an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics. He is the associate program director of the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship.
He has served as a clinical instructor for the Departments of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine and University of Pennsylvania. His research topics include brachial plexus neuritis, pediatrics, emergency medicine, central nervous system depressants, the chickenpox vaccine, parotitus, heat stroke, viruses, vaccines, patient care management and more.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from University of Texas, his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, and a certificate in clinical epidemiology and biostatistics. He completed an internship and residency in pediatrics at Texas Children’s Hospital and was both neonatology and pediatrics chief resident. He was a fellow in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
