Timothy Hurtado, DO, FACEP
Timothy Hurtado DO, FACEP, is the medical director of St. Francis Medical Center in Colorado Springs, CO. Additional duties include EMS medical direction for multiple agencies in the region and state.
Dr. Hurtado completed his undergraduate training at Colorado College and medical school at Midwestern University. He completed his Emergency Medicine Residency training at Madigan Army Medical Center/University of Washington School.
Dr. Hurtado was an active duty physician for four years serving primarily in Asia and in Iraq. After his military service, he was a faculty member at the Denver Health Residency in Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Hurtado is a board certified emergency physician. He is active in Search and Rescue and Wildland Fire EMS. He continues to be active in medical education at both medical schools in Colorado and as the Assistant Medical Director for the Penrose-St. Francis EMS Paramedic program.
