William Melton, MD
Dr. William Melton is the Medical Director of the Sutter Solano Medical Center Emergency Department in Vallejo, California. He has served as the Chief of Staff for the last 6 years, sits on several hospital committees, and is chair of the Interdisciplinary Practices Committee and the physician stroke coordinator. He has been a member of the Quality Improvement Committee with VEP for the past decade. Dr. Melton holds a position as Adjunct Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Vallejo, California. He is also a board member of the Rapidan Foundation which provides grants to community health projects around the world.
He earned a bachelor’s degree with honors from University of California, Berkeley, and his medical degree from University of California San Francisco School of Medicine. He completed his residency through University of New Mexico Department of Family and Community Medicine and is board certified in both Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine.
