Yalonda Herndon, DO, is a medical director for Atrium Health Huntersville Emergency Department. As a quality, risk, and safety director, she has served as a member of quality assessment, improvement, ethics, innovations, emerging leaders, and diversity teams and committees. She is a USACS Ambassador for future women employees, serves on the USACS Clinical Governance Board, and was named the USACS Physician of the year in 2017.
Dr. Herndon earned a bachelor’s degree from Hampton University, a post-baccalaureate certificate from Harvard University, and her medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine/New York Institute of Technology. She completed her residency in emergency medicine at Baystate Medical Center.
