Roya Zolnoor Caloia, DO, MPH, FACEP, FAAEM, is Chair of the National Clinical Governance Board (NCGB) for US Acute Care Solutions. Most recently she served as Vice Chair of the NCGB and National Director of Clinical Education. She is a board-certified emergency medicine physician at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc, MI, where she also serves as core faculty for the EM Residency. Other scholarly pursuits include serving as an MCEP Education committee member, vice chair of the ACOEP BPEM committee, a reviewer for the Journal of Education and Teaching in Emergency Medicine and the Western Journal of Emergency Medicine, and AOBEM Oral Board Examiner. She is a frequent presenter and lecturer, and has authored several publications. She has earned the 2014 and 2015 Humanitarian Service Awards, the 20 Under 40 for the Monroe newspaper, Faculty of the Year for Genesys Regional Medical Center, and Distinguished Reviewer for West JEM.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami, a master’s degree in public health from Florida International University, and a medical degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her internship at Palmetto General Hospital and her residency at Oakwood Southshore Medical Center, where she was the chief resident.
