Angela Aboutalib, MD, FACP, DipABLM, is a hospitalist and the National Quality and Education Director for Inpatient Medicine. She is also an adjunct clinical assistant professor for Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, patient experience faculty member, and a teaching attending for both medical students and physician assistants. She serves as the Chair of the National Peer Review Committee, board member of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA), member of the National Clinical Governance Board (NCGB), and member of the Women’s Resource Group. Prior to her current role, she was the Director of Clinical Operations for Integrated Acute Care.  

Dr. Aboutalib is a member of the Leading Physicians of the World. In 2014, that group presented her with the Top Internist in Chicago award. She was also featured in Today’s Hospitalist Magazine discussing re-admissions. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and Society of Hospital Medicine.  

Dr. Aboutalib most recently became board-certified in Lifestyle Medicine and is a certified yoga instructor. She has taught yoga at Northwestern University’s post graduate physical therapy department and is a faculty instructor at Chicago School of Yoga where she teaches Anatomy, Yoga as Medicine, and the Science behind Mindfulness.

She earned her medical degree at St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine in Grand Cayman and completed her residency at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, IL.
