Travis Ulmer, MD, FACEP, is the National Director of Residency Relations at USACS. Previously, Dr. Ulmer served as the practice's Chief Clinical Recruiting Officer and as a medical director at multiple USACS sites. He also taught clinical best practices as a faculty member of USACS Efficiency Academy. In 2012, he was named the Executive of the Year. Dr. Ulmer currently serves on the Diversity and Inclusion Council.

Dr. Ulmer received his bachelor's in biology at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. While at Denison University, he was a four-year starter and two-year captain on the Denison Rugby team. He earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University where he received the Outstanding Research Performance Award. He completed his emergency medicine residency at The Ohio State University where he served as Chief Resident. During his residency, Dr. Ulmer received the Housestaff Citizenship Award, the Internal Medicine Hermes Award, the Resident Academic Excellence Award, and the Resident Teacher of the Year Award.

Dr. Ulmer enjoys mountaineering and has completed expeditions to Mt. McKinley, Mt. Hood, Mt. Saint Helens, Mt. Washington, Mt. Whitney, Mt. Rainier, and Mt. Elbrus. He is also an avid road and mountain bicyclist. He is married to Laura Marka, MD, who completed her ENT Residency at The Ohio State University and a Laryngology Fellowship at the University of Texas San Antonio. They are proud parents of a daughter named Sophia and a son named Luke.

Dr. Ulmer is board certified in emergency medicine.
