Hospitalist - Medical Director

Emporia is located in Southern Virginia, about 100 miles north of Raleigh, NC. The beautiful beaches of Virginia coast are 80 miles to the east. Lake Gaston, N.C., where many Physicians live, is about 25 miles south of Emporia. 

Beautiful Lake Gaston is located on the Virginia/North Carolina border between Interstates 85 and 95. Lake Gaston’s 20,300 surface acres of water and 35 miles of shoreline encompass portions of Halifax, Northampton, and Warren Counties in North Carolina and Brunswick and Mecklenburg Counties in Virginia. Our mild climate, with an average winter temperature of 42.4 degrees and an average summer temperature of 76.5 degrees, attracts many tourists, second home owners, and new residents.

As a Hospitalist Medical Director with USACS, you’ll be responsible for managing Hospitalist medicine services by collaborating with the hospital and nursing leadership while offering support to your Physician staff.  As a leader for both the hospital and USACS, you will influence broad company decisions and help facilitate the development of new leaders.

Career Details

• Oversee Hospitalist service operations
• Supervise HM staff, per the bylaws, policies and procedures of the institution
• Represent the staff in the community and within the hospital

Excellent compensation with an estimated employed W-2 base pay of $130/hour PLUS comprehensive USACS benefits, a 10% company-funded 401k and USACS ownership stock. Additional leadership stipend included.
