Michael McDonald, DO
Michael McDonald, DO, is the medical director at CHI St Joseph Madison Hospital in Madisonville, TX.
He is a founding board member of Heads, Hearts, and Hands, a non-profit organization that runs medical clinics and supports small business development and local agriculture in Uganda and East Africa. He has served as a co-investigator on a number of clinical trials. He is a member of the American Medical Association and has been a fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine. He received an Expeditionary Medal for the Global War on Terror, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, The Army Commendation Medal, the Army Superior Unit Award from Brooke Army Medical Center, and the R.R. Hannas Award for Excellence in EM. He was stationed as a staff physician at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Landstuhl, Germany for four years. He has earned his medical license in Ohio and Alabama as well as Texas.
Dr. McDonald earned his bachelor’s degree from Covenant College, his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, and graduate medical education (FYGME, GME) from Brooke Army Medical Center’s San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium.
