Dr. Kate Remick, MD is one of the executive leads for the EMS for Children Innovation and Improvement Center, assistant professor of Pediatrics at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin, medical director for San Marcos Hays County EMS, associate medical director for Austin/Travis County EMS System and emergency physician at Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas.

She has lectured at the state and national level on a variety of topics related to pediatric emergency care and pediatric quality improvement across the emergency care continuum.  Over the last decade she has served as one of the primary leads for the National Pediatric Readiness Project, a joint national quality improvement effort to ensure that all emergency departments, including those in rural or remote areas, are ready to meet the needs of critically ill and injured children.

She has held leadership positions with state and national professional organizations to promote high quality emergency care for children.  Dr. Remick is triple board certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Emergency Medicine, and Emergency Medical Services.  Her primary focus is system-level readiness to support delivery of high-quality emergency care to children across the healthcare continuum.
