Dr. Howard Levitin is the research director and member of the clinical core faculty in the emergency medicine residency program at OhioHealth Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.  He has over 25-years of experience and particular interest in disaster medicine, emergency management, hospital evacuation, and hazardous materials decontamination.  He has lectured on these and related topics to medical centers and healthcare organizations in over forty states and three countries (Japan, China, and Canada).  In addition, he has presented at World Association for Disaster and Emergency Medicine, ACEP Scientific Assembly, ACEP and AAEM specialty conferences (on the Medical Consequences of Terrorism) and has served as a subject matter expert for the Department of Defense, Department of Army, The Joint Commission, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), Health Services and Resources Administration (HRSA), and several think tanks focused on disaster preparedness.
