About USACS
The Residency Outreach Champion is responsible for developing, leading, and executing strategic outreach initiatives to engage, attract, and recruit medical residents into the organization’s physician workforce pipeline. This role serves as a key liaison between USACS and the residency programs across a division (and total organization), with a focus on enhancing physician recruitment, promoting employer branding, and ensuring alignment with long-term staffing goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Outreach & Relationship Building
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with residency program directors, coordinators, and residents at targeted institutions.
- Represent USACS at residency fairs, educational conferences, and other medical networking events.
- Develop and manage residency outreach programs, including site visits, networking dinners, educational talks, and facility tours. This includes creating and managing an annual calendar of contact with these residency programs.
- Lead the internal residency alumni outreach. This includes hosting zoom calls and other activities to engage our physician alumni.
- Recruitment Strategy & Pipeline Development
- Partner with physician recruitment to develop targeted outreach strategies to attract high-quality resident candidates to full-time physician positions within USACS.
- With partnership with recruiting, track and analyze outreach outcomes, pipeline development metrics, and hiring conversions from residency programs.
- Program Development & Branding
- Work with physician recruiting and marketing on the creation of promotional and educational materials that highlight the organization’s culture, values, and career opportunities.
- Serve as a brand ambassador to ensure consistent and compelling messaging across all residency engagement efforts.
- Collaboration & Reporting
- In conjunction with recruiting, provide regular updates to leadership on outreach activities, ROI metrics, and strategic recommendations for pipeline improvement.
- Maintain current knowledge of trends in physician recruitment, graduate medical education, and healthcare workforce development.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Must be an emergency medicine physician living and working in the division you are applying for. Cannot currently have an administrative stipend.
- Minimum 1 year with USACS.
- Must be willing to reduce clinical hours to 2 shifts/week to accommodate role and travel related to the role.
- Proven experience building and managing professional relationships within academic and clinical training settings.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal, public speaking, and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of residency education systems, ACGME requirements, and physician workforce trends.
- Highly organized with excellent project management and strategic planning abilities.
- Proficient in CRM, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and Microsoft Office Suite.
Working Conditions:
- Regular travel required (regional/national).
- Occasional evening or weekend work for recruitment events or conferences.
