Dr. L. Anthony Cirillo Elected American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) President-Elect

CANTON, Ohio, October 1, 2024 – US Acute Care Solutions (USACS), the nation’s largest physician-owned emergency and inpatient medicine practice, announced today that L. Anthony Cirillo, MD, FACEP, Director of Government Affairs, has been elected as the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) President-Elect. The ACEP Council elected Dr. Cirillo president on Saturday, September 28, prior to their annual ACEP Scientific Assembly Conference in Las Vegas, NV. As a member of ACEP for more than 30 years, Dr. Cirillo has served in numerous leadership positions, most recently as Chair of the Board, completing his back-to-back three-year terms. He was also named the 2018 recipient of ACEP's Colin C. Rorrie, Jr., PhD Award for Excellence in Health Policy. Dr. Cirillo began with a USACS legacy group in 2004 and has served in various clinical, quality, and leadership roles during his tenure. The focus of his work has been, and continues to be, bridging the gap between healthcare and health policy. Dr. John Casey Named Recipient of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) National Emergency Medicine Faculty Teaching Award

CANTON, Ohio, August 9, 2024 – US Acute Care Solutions (USACS), the nation’s largest physician-owned emergency and inpatient medicine practice, announced today that John Casey, DO, MA, FACEP, FACOEP-D, has received the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) National Emergency Medicine Faculty Teaching Award. The ACEP National Emergency Medicine Faculty Teaching Award is given annually to individuals who have demonstrated superior clinical teaching. Dr. Casey is a board-certified emergency physician and serves as the USACS Emergency Medicine Residency Director at OhioHealth Doctors Hospital in Columbus, OH. His passion for education is reflected through his years of academic involvement, having worked his way, since 2008, up the ranks to become a Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Casey has received several awards for both his clinical and teaching excellence, and has given numerous lectures on various topics across the nation. Since 2008, Dr. Casey has been an active member of ACEP, Ohio’s ACEP chapter, and the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians (ACOEP), and has served in numerous leadership roles for each organization. Most recently, he served as a member of the ACEP Physician Public Health Committee. “Dr. Casey is a strong, enthusiastic educator who goes the extra mile to ensure a bright future for emergency medicine resident physicians,” said Chief Medical Officer, Amer Aldeen, MD, FACEP. “His inspirational and energetic style of teaching reflects his commitment to residents and medical students alike. US Acute Care Solutions Names Dr. Tanveer Gaibi Regional Vice President of East Division

Most recently, Dr. Gaibi served as Chairman of Emergency Medicine at Inova Fairfax and Vice President of Strategic Development for the USACS East Division. With a diverse leadership background spanning rural, urban, and tertiary care academic centers, Dr. Gaibi has been a key contributor in USACS' business development endeavors across the East Division. His extensive clinical experience and proven operational success have been instrumental in shaping business strategies and driving organic growth initiatives. US Acute Care Solutions Names Dr. Drew White President of North Division

CANTON, Ohio, June 25, 2024 – US Acute Care Solutions (USACS), the nation’s largest physician-owned provider of hospital-based emergency and inpatient medicine, announced today that it has named Drew White, MD, MBA, FACEP, President of its North Division. Most recently, Dr. White served as a Regional Vice President of the USACS East Division where he oversaw 30 service lines at 14 hospitals in six Mid-Atlantic hospital systems, totaling more than 650,000 annual patient encounters.Under his leadership, the region has seen notable clinical improvements in productivity, risk reduction, and patient experience, while also enhancing provider satisfaction. USACS Chief Clinical Officer, Tina Latimer, MD, MBA, MPH, FACEP, said, “Drew will make an exceptional President of our North Division given his outstanding performance as a regional vice president and his intuitive clinical acumen. US Acute Care Solutions Names Dr. Shea Combs Regional Vice President of South Division

Most recently, Dr. Combs served as the Regional Integrated Acute Care (IAC) Medical Director of the USACS South Division and System Medical Director of Hospital Medicine. In this role she was responsible for the management of several service lines at both Cedar Park Regional Medical Center in Cedar Park, TX, and Peterson Regional Medical Center in Kerrville, TX. USACS Announces Annual Clinical Excellence Award Winners

CANTON, Ohio, March 7, 2024 – US Acute Care Solutions (USACS), the nation’s largest physician-owned provider of hospital-based emergency and inpatient medicine, is pleased to announce eight clinicians who have been named recipients of the National Clinical Governance Board’s (NCGB) Clinical Excellence Award. These recipients were honored during USACS’ annual Assembly meeting held in Denver, CO, last month. The Clinical Excellence Award was created to recognize outstanding clinical care by individual physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) who do not serve in leadership or management roles and represent each USACS service line.
